Urdu is not just a language — it is a garden of civilization, where every word carries fragrance, every sentence flows like poetry, and every emotion finds a home in its graceful expression.
Born from the unity of diverse cultures — Turkish, Persian, Arabic, and Indian — Urdu became a symbol of togetherness. From Sufi saints to freedom poets, this language has always promoted peace, wisdom, and love.
Its literature reflects elegance. Its poetry composes the rhythm of hearts. Its history is a reminder that diversity makes a society richer, not divided.
As the General Secretary of Anjuman Taraqqi Urdu (Hind), West Bengal, I am pleased to share that our organization continues its committed journey toward the promotion and preservation of the Urdu language across the state.
Through academic programs, cultural events, training workshops, and collaborations with schools, colleges, and literary bodies, we are striving to strengthen Urdu’s rightful place in society.
Our focus remains on empowering students, encouraging writers, supporting Urdu teachers, and creating platforms where language, literature, and culture flourish.
I am grateful to all branches, members, volunteers, and lovers of Urdu whose dedication keeps this mission alive. Together, we move forward with the resolve to safeguard the heritage of Urdu and pass it to future generations.
